About Timberline Structural Engineering
Practical Engineering. Personal Service. Trusted Results.
Timberline Structural Engineering is built on a simple philosophy: good engineering should provide a solution that is safe, practical, efficient and responsive to the real needs of a project.
We understand that every project has a budget, a timeline and a design vision. Our role is to support that vision with economic, buildable structural solutions that meet local code requirements without unnecessary complexity or cost.
Engineering Tailored to Place and Code
Structural engineering is inherently local. Design requirements vary by jurisdiction and are influenced by regional conditions such as:
Snow loads
Wind exposure
Seismic forces
Timberline Structural Engineering is licensed in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Montana, allowing us to serve projects throughout the Pacific Northwest and California with a deep understanding of regional codes and standards.
Collaborative by Nature
Successful projects rely on strong coordination. We work closely with architects, designers, contractors, owners, and public jurisdictions to help ensure smooth plan review and construction processes.
We maintain positive, respectful working relationships with local building departments, helping facilitate timely approvals and clear communication throughout the life of a project.
Modern Tools, Proven Methods
We utilize current engineering tools and technology to deliver accurate, efficient designs, including:
Engineering analysis software and spreadsheets
AutoCAD and Revit for clear, precise construction documents
Up-to-date computer software with the latest design codes and analysis methods
Timberline Structural Engineering also contracts with Draft it Up, a local professional drafting service that uses Revit to produce high-quality construction documents. This partnership allows us to deliver coordinated, well-organized drawing sets that support smooth permitting and construction.
Our services don’t end when calculations are stamped. We remain available to respond to jurisdictional questions, contractor inquiries, and coordination needs through project completion.
Commitment Beyond the Drawings
At Timberline Structural Engineering, we value long-term relationships. Many of our projects come from repeat clients and referrals, a reflection of our commitment to responsiveness, accountability, and clear communication.
We believe that being accessible and engaged is just as important as producing solid engineering.
